Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery

      Department of Burns and Plastic Surgery isthe medical care, scientific research and teaching center in burns and plastic surgery of Hebei Medical University, postgraduate education base of Hebei province, the electrical burn research center of Hebei province. The department possesses advanced equipment for diagnosis and treatment. Led by professor Zhang Qingfu,  it is characterized by treating large-area burns and electrical burns, and carries on shock-stage escharectomy after large-area, severe burns and variant  skin transplantation, autologous dermal microskin grafting, early functional reconstructive operation on functional position after deep burns, and tissue flap repairing etc. The department takes the lead on early rehabilitation treatment and ameliorated plastic operations, which have good effect on deformed scars after burns, congenital malformation and cosmetic surgery. The carpet-pattern suture method invented by the department significantly improves the operative effects.
